Alessandra Bussador

Director of Innovation at the Institute of Applied Technology and Innovation (ITAI)

Computer Engineer with a Ph.D. in Energy and Sustainability from the Federal University of Latin American Integration. Alessandra serves as the Director of Innovation at the Institute of Applied Technology and Innovation (ITAI). Her expertise is further demonstrated by her roles as a council member for the Foz do Iguaçu Science, Technology, and Innovation Council (CMCTI) and the Tourism Council (CONTUR). She also coordinates the Smart Cities Working Group of the CMCTI and is a member of the Governance Working Group for Smart Tourist Destinations in Foz do Iguaçu. She is an active member of the Brazilian Association of Technical Standards (ABNT), participating in the Special Study Commission (ABNT/CEE-268) for Sustainable Cities and Communities and the Sustainable Tourism Studies Commission (ABNT/CB-054). Additionally, she works as an ad hoc evaluator for higher education courses for the INEP/Sinaes – Basis. Alessandra is an Adjunct Professor at the Centro Universitário Dinâmica das Cataratas. She is also the author of the book “DTI-BR Model: Strategic Indicators for Smart and Sustainable Brazilian Tourist Destinations” and co-author of “Women in Technology, Volume III.”
