Herivelto Beck de Souza

Herivelto Beck de Souza is a Fishing Engineer with a Ph.D. in Aquaculture from the State University of Western Paraná. He has extensive experience in fish nutrition and health, as well as in the development of feed and animal nutrition products. He teaches in the Aquaculture Technician and Aquaculture Engineering programs at IFPR and leads Research, Extension, and Innovation projects at UNIGUAÇU College. He has provided technical consulting for aquaculture farms, focusing on environmental management, aquaculture health, and sustainability. As a researcher in the Aquaculture Studies and Management Group (GEMAq), he specializes in ingredient evaluation, zootechnical performance of fish, and sustainable management. He holds a solid academic background, with a doctorate and master’s degree in Aquaculture and a focus on Food Technology, in addition to his bachelor’s degree in Fishing Engineering. He is recognized for his contributions to technological and sustainable development in the aquaculture sector.
