Convenor of ISO TC 228/WG13 – Sustainable tourism, Coordinator of the ABNT Sustainable Tourism Study Commission, responsible for coordinating the future ABNT standard for Smart Tourist Destinations. Master’s in Production Engineering (UFF), with an MBA in Integrated Management for Excellence (FGV), and a degree as a Geological Engineer (UFOP). 30 years of experience in sustainability, risk, innovation, management systems, and quality infrastructure. He is a consultant, auditor, and professor on these topics in various public and private sector projects and initiatives related to Quality Infrastructure, including developing strategies and policies, conducting diagnostics and evaluations, structuring initiatives, strategic planning, and designing systems and processes, covering standardization, certification, technical regulation, and conformity assessment, including accreditation, metrology, and market surveillance. He has worked as a consultant for international organizations such as the World Bank, IDB, UNIDO, UN Environment (UNEP), UNDP, GIZ, WWF, IFC, and UNESCO, as well as hundreds of national organizations and companies. Head of the Brazilian delegation at ISO TC 228 – tourism and related services (2014-2025), Creator and Jury of the Braztoa Sustainability Award.
