João Guilherme Mazetto

João Guilherme Mazetto, 30, has served as the Deputy Mayor and Secretary of Government and Innovation of Veranópolis/RS since 2025. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Law from the University of Caxias do Sul (UCS) and is a postgraduate student in Public Management and Administrative Law at FACUMINAS. His political career began in the Municipal Legislature, where he was elected city councilor for two consecutive terms (2017–2020 and 2021–2024). During this period, he was known for advocating for innovation in public administration, transparency, and a commitment to the social and economic development of the municipality. In 2025, he took on the role of Deputy Mayor and head of the Secretariat of Government and Innovation, focusing on inter-secretariat coordination, modernizing public processes, and fostering a closer relationship between the administration and the community. He was an active volunteer during the climate disasters that hit the region in 2023 and 2024, which led him to join the coordination of the Municipal Contingency Plan, contributing to strategic actions for prevention and emergency response. Recognized for his integrity, public spirit, and young leadership, João Guilherme Mazetto remains committed to an efficient, modern administration focused on the real needs of the people of Veranópolis.
